Council Leader Steps Down

Councillor Angelique Foster, who has held the position of Leader for the last nine years, announced that she was to stand down at the annual meeting of the Town Council, held on 13th May.

Councillor Foster was first elected as a councillor back in 2011 and will remain as a member of the Town Council.

Originally from France, Councillor Foster has lived in Dronfield for more than 20 years and has been a key figure in local government for over a decade.

Outgoing Town Mayor, Councillor Susan Burkitt, presented Angelique with flowers and gifts and thanked her on behalf of the Town Council, for her significant contributions during her time as Leader of the council.
