Work starts on new play areas today
Work has begun today, Monday 25th February, on the first of two play areas to receive a refurbishment in the next few weeks.
Birches Fold play area at Coal Aston will be undergoing a full refurbishment over the next four weeks with new play equipment, safety flooring and fencing being installed.

Fixed penalties issued for littering
North East Derbyshire District Council have informed us three £80 fixed penalties were issued for littering yesterday, 24th January, on the environmental enforcement team patrol.
All three were for depositing cigarettes even though there was a bin nearby.

Dronfield Neighbourhood Plan Submitted to District Council
The draft Dronfield Neighbourhood Plan has today been submitted to North East Derbyshire District Council.
The District Council will now undertake a further public consultation on the Plan for six weeks before the Plan is subjected to an independent examination.
A referendum will then be held later in the year, and if successful the Plan will be "made" and used to help determine planning applications.... Read More »

Office opening times Friday 25th January
Please note that the Town Council office will be closed for staff training on the morning of Friday 25th January. The office will open from 1:00pm - 4:00pm, in the afternoon.
All staff will be undertaking a Dementia Awareness training course to help Dronfield become a Dementia Friendly town.

Park refurbishments continue in 2019
Dronfield Town Council's rolling refurbishment of parks across the town, continues in 2019. Birches Fold play area in Coal Aston and Lundy Road park in Dronfield South are both scheduled to undergo refurbishment starting later this month.
